Since 2003, Producer/Director Nasty Byte has directed over 100 concerts, and produced over 90 music videos. View the on-line portfolio to see a frame from each video and quicktime clips. We’ve worked with artists such as Gary Numan, Ministry, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Orbital, Laibach and other international acts. Other projects include mixed animated videos with music by ECM, Negative Charge and DJ K-Rai. A video art installation is in progress for music by electronic artists Chuck Bettis and Ikue Mori from the American Composers Forum.

Pre-production meetings acquaint the camera crew with the music of the Artist, and the Director assigns camera positions with specific directions (camera actions) for each crew member. For most projects, the crew consists of 5-8 camera operators. We can shoot in both standard digital and high definition (HD). Pete Margetis, our Technical Director, is a 23-year industry veteran working in the Silverspring Maryland tv production hub. He advises us on the latest technology and tests our equipment before each shoot. Our team works with you to determine the best plan of action for capturing your performance.

Editing can be done in either standard (4:3) or wide screen (16:9) formats. Each song is edited individually from all the footage captured, and we do not utilize switchers in any of our productions. We create uniquely edited videos that enhance the listening and viewing experience. Editing is paced to the tempo, mood and structure of each song, so no two songs will be edited alike. We color-correct and use filters which give the video a film-like appearance. Tracks are sent to the Artist for approval as the work progresses. The best frames are collected for artwork. We can take your project from start to finish.
